Care & Maintenance - Compact Laminate

Cleaning

For general cleaning of your laminate surface, simply wipe with a damp cloth or sponge and a mild soap or detergent.  Alternatively, you may use a household multi-purpose cleaner such as Ajax Spray N Wipe.  Alternatively, the panels can be steam cleaned.

Procedure

Simply wipe they laminate with a soapy damp cloth or spray with your multi-purpose cleaner and wipe with a clean cloth.
Gentle rubbing with a dry clean cloth can help to bring back the brightness of the laminate.
Always rinse surface after cleaning.
To remove special stains* use an organic solvent such as acetone, white spirit or turpentine.

WHAT NOT TO DO

Do not use scourers or abrasives, as this will damage the surface.
Do not place hot objects directly onto the surface.
Do not cut on the laminate surface, as this will scratch it.  Always use a cutting board.
Do not use acidic, alkaline cleaners or bleach for normal cleaning as these might damage the surface.

Storage and Handling

During transport use a flat stable pallet that is at least the same size as the sheets.
When handling, lift the sheets to avoid scratching.
The sheets should be stored in dry premises under cover to avoid moisture and heat.
Sheets should be stored flat to minimize any bending or bowing.
Ensure protective sheets of sufficient size are placed on the bottom between the pallet and the bottom sheet and also on top of the stack.
Before fabricating, a conditioning period of approximately 10 days is recommended.
