Care & Maintenance - Glass Toilet Cubicles

There are a number of glass cleaning products that can be used to remove accumulated dust or fingerprints.  Recommended cleaning products would include Windex or a mixture of one part vinegar to ten parts water.  This will provide you with a clean, streak-free surface.

Spray a generous amount of the cleaning solution onto the surface or a cloth.
Wipe the surface with a clean, lint free towel or cloth.
Wipe dry with a dry clean, lint free towel or cloth.
To help prevent streaking, stop wiping when glass is almost dry.

Do not clean the glass when the glass is hot or in direct sunlight.
Do not allow cleaning solutions to contact the edges of glass.
Do not used cleaners with Hydrofluoric or Phosphoric acid, as they are corrosive to the glass surface.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, powder based cleaners, scouring pads or other harsh materials.
Some tapes or adhesives can stain or damage the glass surface.

Storage and Handling

Glass should be stored in a dry clean environment with good circulation of cool air to avoid staining and marking.  Storage areas need to be out of direct sunlight as some glass is susceptible to thermal breakage.
If glass has been received in a wet condition, it needs to be separated, dried and restacked with separators to allow airflow around the panels.

Care should be taken to ensure the glass is properly fastened and secured to prevent damage.  Glass should be handled by staffs that have been properly trained and always taking into account good health and safety procedures.
Glass should be protected from site contamination caused by building materials, as this will assist in the cleaning of the glass at the conclusion of the construction.
Due to its weight, it is strongly recommended that forklift is used to lift these items.
